Stubenhocker

I made this project in the department of design for playing and learning at the Burg Giebichenstein Academy of Arts. It was a collaboration with a children's hospital in Berlin.

My product is a stackable chair for children, that you can turn around and use as a playing landscape, by hanging in one of a range of landscapes, such as an underwater world, a kitchen, a city, a castle or a circus. So children can use everything they find to play with and the chairs are not necessarily in the way, when not used.

The chair is made of wood and the landscapes out of cotton fabric, some of them screenprinted.
