2017: research for egypt project
Before I conducted the workshop in Luxor, Egypt, I was looking for aesthetics and designs with a local relation and history, that I could tie to with my workshop content.
I found pictures of ancient paddle dolls that have been created in the area as toys or ritual plastics. I was very fascinated by them, so I made some drawings that had not been used in the end.
Also I made drawings of possible "modern hieroglyphs" and a bandana, that combined the two themes.
